SALES MANAGER

Description

Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales team to meet and or exceed the company sales targets for new business while maintaining current sales in the Oil & Gas markets. Sales Manager should provide direction, leadership, planning, execution, follow up and reporting of all sales activities within this market. The Sales Manager will have individual sales targets and create and engage teams from across HDI to ensure successful closing of the sales opportunities, delivery and handover to operations and account development teams. Collaborate with other senior management team members in new product development and the contracting of technical services.

Major Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate the sales team to meet and/or exceed sales targets
  • Plan, implement and execute new business sales strategy and explore new markets potential new business
  • Implementation of reports for management
  • Provides regular updates of progress in sales pipeline
  • Accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management across product and service lines
  • Secure new contracts and maintain “Good Standing” with existing agreements
  • Planning and overseeing new market initiatives
  • Represent company at key industry events and trade shows
  • Provides reports on changes and innovation in the industry
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Provides day-to-day service as required and provides input to resolve customer problems and issues
  • Interface with customer, at all levels, gathering technical facts to support the quotation and contracting process to include business development efforts and customer penetration strategy
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements and propose product and/or service to satisfy customer’s needs
  • Resolve customer contractual and account services issues with independent action in a timely manner, coordinate between operations, engineering and accounting in order to provide an excellent standard of service to internal and external customers
  • Develop the personal relationships with clients by going out and meeting key accounts and customers on an as needed basis
  • Proactively identify accounts whose revenue may be shrinking so as to address any “at risk” customers and reach out to these accounts to ensure they are retained as customers
  • Proactively conduct strategic account reviews with all assigned customers on a regular basis to review service needs and usage trends
  • Any other related duties/projects as may be assigned

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
